Haiku

Haikus always have a 5, 7, 5 syllable pattern. Haikus have three lines. The haiku you will be reading will be about Spring.  April and May Bunnies are hopping and looking for grass to eat. Crickets are chirping. One day, there was a bunny in our yard. It was in Spring 2020 on Fletcher Avenue. The bunny was small and hungry, but all it was eating was grass. It was all alone and okay. Baby bunnies can tunnel their own burrows.

Tectonic Plates

The tectonic plates of the earth float on magma. When tectonic plates rumble together they can cause earthquakes and change the surface of the earth. There are seven major and eight minor tectonic plates. Sometimes they are called lithospheric plates.

Conifers

Conifer trees are some of the largest trees on earth.  Some of them do not have leaves. They have needles. The needles store water. They are completely green all year. The only time they get bare is if their branches fall or if they die or fall down.  The largest conifer trees on earth are the sequoias.  I used to think the araucaria conifer from the cretaceous time period was the largest tree ever. Now I know the largest tree ever is actually redwoods and sequoias. I still prefer the araucarias.
